Meet Our Staff

Meet our staff! Including our two veterinarians, Dr. Richard Jones and Dr. Hayley Phipps. Also, we have our technicians, Jen and Tiffany, our veterinary assistant Vince, and our receptionists Susan, Diane and Monica.

Richard Jones, DVM

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Jones graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980.  He was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. He planned to do a one year internship in Nashville, but fell in love with the city and never left. Dr. and Mrs. Jones have two grown children, Austin and Wylie, and grandchildren who are the light of their life. He enjoys hunting and fishing, whether it is in Tennessee, his native Alabama or all the way in South Dakota and Canada.


Timothy Tomlinson, DMV

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Tomlinson went to the University of Georgia Veterinarian School and graduated in 2004. He did his undergrad at David Lipscomb College, where he met his wife. Dr. and Mrs. Tomlinson have two grown children, Luke and Noel. He is looking forward to his first grandchild who will be here in the coming months. He loves to spend his spare time mountain biking, golfing and watching college football.


Heather Perez

Veterinarian Assistant

Heather is a huge UT fan, originally from Chattanooga, TN. She has been a Veterinarian Assistant since 1994. With her love for all animals, she is passionate about this industry. She has many 4 legged babies along with a loving husband and daughter. Her passion has rubbed off on her daughter, who is now studying to be a Veterinarian Technician!


Amy Burton

Veterinarian Technician

Amy is a Nashville native and has been a Veterinarian Technician since 2007. She has been working alongside Dr.Tomlinson and Dr.Jones for 13+ years. Before this position she has worked in Emergency and Wildlife rescue clinics. When she is not spending quality time with her daughter, she enjoys kayaking with her friends!


Morgan Kelly

Veterinarian Assistant

Morgan was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. She moved to the Nashville area in 2013. With a history in kennel work, she has transitioned over to become an outstanding Veterinarian Assistant. She has now been in this role for 10 years. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She loves hiking, creating and building things.


Susan Jordan

Receptionist/Client Care Specialist

Susan has been working at Cool Springs Animal Hospital for 32 years. Whoa! She enjoys hanging out with her family, attending bible study, and church. She has a Lab named Finley. Susan retired from Franklin Special School District and is now working at CSAH full time. She can’t wait to have even more time with her grandbabies!


Angie Quick

Receptionist

Angie has been an Animal Hospital Receptionist for Dr.Tomlinson for 10+ years. She is very compassionate about all dogs and cats, and works very hard for regular and new clients. She also helps with the ins and outs of rescue animals.When she is not at work she spends time with her family and her fur babies.


Mary Angel

Receptionist

Mary and her family moved from California to Franklin in 2019. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four grown children. Her favorite and most enjoyable thing is spending time with her grandson. Mary is a great cook and loves to bake.
